P3D Stereoscopic photography by any other name.......

Boris asks how we might term what we do photographically so that the masses
might better understand. He is certainly correct when he points out that many
people only associate the term "stereo" with "phonic." And the term 3D has
been so twisted by the computer crowd as to be confusing at best. However the
term Virtual Reality does seem to ring the right bells, especially with the
younger crowd. Perhaps some form of this term could be used to help us
communicate more effectively.
