P3D New List: RBTS1
I have gone ahead and created a new list, using listbot. So far we
have only 3 members signed up (I am one!).
The list is open to the public. Anyone can view the archives and join
the list, by going to this address:
http://rbts1.listbot.com/cgi-bin/view_archive?Act=view_archive&list_id=rbts1
Why do we need this list? Unlike the Realist, which is the most
popular stereo camera (150,000 units sold), there are only a few
hundred RBT S1s made (how many exactly? - that's something to discuss
in this list!). There are unique issues regarding the operation of
this camera that do not need to be discussed in photo-3d. For example,
how many here want to know of a cheap source for 46 mm filters?
Anyway, I hope this list will promote the sharing of experiences
among RBT S1 users and will result in a wealth of information which
can be later compiled in a web site somewhere.
There is no need for anyone to feel neglected by this 3d-spinoff.
If you are looking into getting an S1 in the future or if you are
just curious to see what's being discussed in this list, you can
always stop by the address above and check it out. I will continue
to post RBT-related discussions of general interest in photo-3d.
Please, if you know owners of RBT S1 stereo cameras who might not
be reading this, I'd appreciate it if you could forward them this
information together with my email address for more details.
Many thanks,
George Themelis
