I disagree - I do not think a the phantogram post was unsuitable for P3D.
As I recall, one of the big purposes behind the creation of T3D was
*discussion* of technical issues. In other words, the idea was that the
tough technical controversies would be debated by a group of people on
T3D, then the results could be posted to P3D. Technical issues to be
discussed could be introduced on P3D, then moved to T3D for discussion,
and again the results of that discussion could be returned to P3D.
Bruce's post could be considered technical results, or it could be
considered introduction of a new topic, in either case OK for P3D.
Of course, technical issues *can* be introduced first on T3D, but I don't
think that's considered mandatory.
I also disagree with an earlier post indicating that technical 3D material
would run off beginners. I would think beginners are more likely to be run
off by the large volume of non-3D posts (e.g. Windows vs Mac) on P3D.
