P3D General Comments about List Stuff

***** Because we use the CD-R for our growing collections of stereo
images,
and we are on this list to help our friends with their stereo images. This
particular technical discussion was very brief, not overly long, and to the
point, interesting to read and usefully informative. I see no reason to
disparage such a short digression that may not be wihin your limited scope.
If it got more technical or lasted longer, it would of course be
appropriate
to transfer it to a different list. But it's been discussed and over
already...

I can understand that, but what you are suggesting is that we allow topics
unrelated to 3D to be discussed on this list? I am not the owner, so
perhaps Bob Weir can clarify things for everyone. By your reasoning, I can
discuss the methods I use and the ideas others use and on and no, to store
images? I use a Superdrive. Can we discuss all the problems the MAC users
have, or perhaps we can discuss how I transfer and convert my UNIX files to
some other platform?
My basic points were these: 1) I recall the idea was that on the P3D List,
we were not going to have highly technical postings. We have a Technical 3D
list, why not use it? 2) Material unrelated to Stereo supposedly are not to
be discussed. Am I wrong? You mentioned that you use a CD-R System. Is that
the standard way everyone records images? Not me, perhaps only a few others
on the list.
I am perhaps not the person who should make the above comments - I am just
a subscriber, so I might be out of place here. I am not trying to raise a
fuss here.
