***** I'm suggesting that the brief discussion involving CD-R drives was
short enough to NOT elicit irritating complaints. Have some consideration
for other subscribers whose interest IS with stereo 3D. That's the point.
There is a decided imbalance at times in tolerance levels per topic. If it's
computer related it seems somebody complains very quickly as if that makes
it somehow unrelated to the interests of this list. If it's film related it
can go on and on forever...

The length of the CD-R discussion was certainly no longer than some past
discussions of slide mounts, projector bulbs, film grain and speed, battery
chemistry, cleaning solutions, slide vs. print methodologies, archival
storage, marketing strategies used by Kodak Corporation, etc. None of those
subjects are directly 3D related though most who work with 3D might use the
materials and have concerns or comments about them legitimately to this
list. Most who have a computer used for stereo images and corresponding
large storage needs might use CD-R's, and there are issues involved in
getting them to work right, which by and large have NOT been discussed here
before.

The postings you complained about were NOT highly technical, and they have
moved to SD3D for continuation. :-)
