While Mark added the smiley and ended with [IR 1] which alerts me to
sarcasm and humor, my drive to start 3D photography came from someone
who presented a 3D slide show to our dive club. The show used two sets
of 2x2 slide projectors with polarized filters and polarized glasses.
The show dissolved from one set of projectors to another and provided a
wonderful 3D filled show of the Texas Big Bend area.
Within two weeks of this show, I strapped two 35mm cameras on a bar and
went out and shot a hot air balloon festival. The results I got were
GREAT (for me at the time!). Eventually I found Reel-3D and this list
and a wealth of information on 3D photography. I now use my Kodak
Stereo to shoot 3D of my family and enjoy every minute. Still, if it
weren't for the "messiest, gooiest, sloppiest cake, I wouldn't be
shooting stereo.
To whoever did the Big Bend 3D presentation to the Texins Dive Club some
seven or eight years ago, thanks for a great presentation and the spark
that ignited my interest in stereo photography.
Regards,
Ron
