P3D Liquid Crystal Shutters

Hello

I am a final year Scientific Photography student at RMIT University in 
Melbourne, Australia. I am currently attempting to source four Liquid 
Crystal Shutters with dimensions of approximately 2 inches square (50 mm 
x 50 mm) for use in a research project.The quality must be such to 
achieve a high extinction factor when opaque and fast shuttering at up 
to 70 Hz. The LC control/drive aspects are likely to be addressed by 
help sought from the physics department. My immediate concern is to find 
a manufacturer or distributor of such devices.
Up to now I have received specs on shutter glasses from Stereographics 
and other 3D companies but before I bug them about the possibility of 
extracting the LC shutters from their products I figure someone out 
there is supplying them.
If anyone can help me in this matter I would much appreciate their 
contribution.
