P3D Semantics 101/ digest 3225

I think I missed the msg that began the semantics 101 thread, so I hope
that the pedantry that follows is not redundant.
The passage below showed up in a msg labeled Digest 3225:

The closest thing I can think of that could rightly  be called a
pixelated input device in the field of photography is my uncle Ed with
his Brownie.

Just as stereopticon means magic lantern style projector, pixilated means
mentally eccentric, befuddled or drunk.  Spiflicated and pixilated are my
two favorite words for describing the condition of inebriation and I hate
to see them sullied by science.  Porky the Pig often used the word
pixilated, can we strive to use at least the same linguistic precision as
an imaginary p-p-porker?
