You can hardly blame him. Mono sound at a stereo convention is an
obvious
contradiction to anyone who gave it a moment's thought.

It's almost comical to think that some men spend an entire lifetime and
considerable sums of money to capture images in full stereo, and yet are
deaf to stereo sound.
Those Realist lenses are *sharp*.

Tom...could not agree with you more.....mono sound at a stereo theatre
presentaion is like the equivalent of going to a professional audio
conference (AES or NAMMfor instance)....and having a fabulous
multichannel presentation of audio....while watching a tiny television
monitor.

Of course I do all my 3D shows with stereo audio (I have owned and
operated a recording studio for the past 15 years)...however its not
that easy for those who dont have the resources or knowledge to create
stereo audio programming for their shows...so I give all a break at
that.

Look in the future for center channel (left-center-right) audio
programming , and surround sounds as well...to move in to the theatres
we go to on a regular basis.....and stereo theatre for NSA will move
ahead as well. There are some good folks in the NSA like WOlf Sell and
John Roll..who have been in contact with me about a specification for a
sound system for NSA to own, rather than happenstance rent in every
town...and stereo is part of the picture. Be patient however....NSA
does not have the budget that SONY IMAX does....so..in good time.

Aside from all the psuedo technobabble (upside-down and inside-out
technology!) ....send me you old 1950's transistor radios and reel to
reel tape recorders....its time to regress in exhchange for a 3D good I
can offer you!! Reel regards Jon Golden
