P3D Stereo Blind

>>I don't know whether any of the three directors could see in depth or
not, but

Also consider this: What is the difference between someone who looses sight
in one eye after a lifetime of seeing Stereoscopically, and someone who is
born blind in one eye? I suggest that the perception in their mind's eye is
somewhat different. But I have no supporting data either way. Can one 'see'
stereo because their mind remembers some details?

I remember seeing a demonstration where one eye was covered and the test
subjects went about their life. They had no problems initially. After a
while, their Stereo perception went away, but they could still judge stereo
depth using depth clues and past experiences.

Finally, I must ask this question: Is stereoscopic vision required to get
by in life? I mean, one eyed people can drive.
