P3D Olympus XA-2/A11 questions

Exposure and batteries:
   I haven't done STRICT tests, but I always was under the impression 
that the paired cameras would start to perform more erratically as the 
batteries got lower and more missmatched.

A11 hack:
  Not much to it really.  The two small pins on the side of the camera 
near the bottom are the actual flash contacts.  If you have a dead flash 
unit it's as simple as removing it's guts and installing a PC connector 
for a standard flash unit.  Moving a stock flash unit over is trickier 
since that connector is non-standard.  If it were standard it would just 
be a matter of building an extension cord for it.
