P3D Slide Bar

I'm anxiously awaiting delivery of a Bogen slide bar I bought from Dr. T for
$40. I think of it as a chance to to dust off my flatty cameras and have a
couple more "stereo" cameras around the house. While waiting I came upon a
cheap and easy slide bar project by Steve Berezin that even a klutz like me
can slap together for under $10. It doesn't have the precision or
portability of the Bogen but it will let me play around with some more
