P3D what's wrong??

hi mark!!   sounds like the flash isn't working in either of the auto
modes!!   to find out, take the flash off the camera and set it in
either the 2.8 or 5.6 auto mode, and manually fire the flash at close
and far objects!  at close objects, the flash should be minimal and
recharge quickly and just the opposite at far objects!!  if the flash
strength and the recycle time dosn't change, the unit's auto circuitry
isn't functioning!!
