I spoke briefly with Mr. Lipton at the 3D Displays session at the
1999 SPIE/IS&T Photonics West (chaired by Andrew Woods). He was there
to deliver part of a talk on stereo displays, but apart from the talk he
also showed off some high quality viewerless stereo prints. I understand
the prints are not a current Stereographics product, but some thought is
being given to future commercial involvement.
