I would expect the move to digital to give improved horizontal resolution (which is
a good thing for stereo), although I don't think the vertical resolution is much (if any)
better than Hi8 (?)..

My main concern would be how the adapter would fit on a digital camcorder.. the
current trend seems to make then smaller and smaller. From the ones I've seen
the lens thread would be too small for the adapter to fit on (37mm minimum)
Also I haven't noticed if any of them have a tripod socket.. (essential , since the
adapter secures itself via a bolt screwed into the tripod mount).

>From my own experience with my NuView (on a PAL Sony Hi8 Camcorder), I can
say that I was impressed with the quality the device gives (using VREX's glasses).
The device is easy to set-up and use and the only problem I have is that I
sometimes forget to turn it on and end up with the double exposed 2D images
instead of 3D ..:( The image does flicker ,in PAL, and I have even considered
imported a NTSC camcorder to use with it...

When I got my VREX glasses I ordered both the PAL and NTSC versions of their
demo tape so I know that the flicker is less of a problem with a NTSC video source
than it is with a PAL source (most VCRs are dual standard nowadays).

I use it on a Sony camcorder (that I bought to go with the NuView), that has the
37mm lens thread that NuView recommend.. unfortunately even with this set-up
I still have to zoom in to avoid a dark bar at the top of the recorded image where
the adapters housing is intruding into shot...
