P3D 3Dsalon list
I went ahead and put up this list to discuss issues or concrens
related to stereo image (slides, prints, VM, etc.) competitions
(also known as PSA salons). This will be of interest to those
who participate in these competition. I don't think lurkers
have any benefits from being there, plus they can always read
the archives which are open to the public.
Here is the info!
>The objective of the list is "to promote and encourage participation
>in stereo image exhibitions". To join the list, please go to:
>(if you cannot access the web, let me know and I can subscribe you
>indirectly)
>
>Examples of the type of postings that are encouraged:
>
>1. Reminders of deadlines of Stereo Salons.
>2. Posting of 3d salon results or web references where results can be
> found.
>3. Details and encouragement on how to start a stereo salon.
>4. Advice and feedback from organizers of stereo salons
>5. Eyewitness reports from PSA Salon showings
>6. Words of wisdom from judges
>7. Questions and answers in topics related to stereo salons.
> Examples: - How do I get my first PSA star?
> - Do I need to be a member of PSA to enter these salons?
> - Should I mount my slides in glass or is plastic/cardboard
> acceptable?
> - What is the accepted format for stereo prints?
> - How should I mail my entries?
> - What is the definition of a "contemporary stereo image"?
>
>Discussions on stereo techniques (e.g. black light stereo photography,
>stereo cameras, etc.) is not really appropriate as there is another
>discussion list devoted to these issues (photo-3d) unless if they are
>related to stereo exhibitions (e.g. types of viewers used for judging
>prints, recommended screen type or size, etc.)
>
>To manage this list I am using the commercial provider ONElist which
>has been recommended by others. ONElist takes care of all
>subscription and distribution issues and provides a place in the web
>to store the archives. I have elected to have these archives open to
>the public (not just the members of the list). These can be viewed at:
>
>http://www.onelist.com/viewarchive.cgi?listname=3Dsalon
>
>I hope that you will find your participation in the list worthwhile!
>
>Best regards,
