P3D Mailing lists

I can only defend the two lists that I have personally started:
One is for users of the RBT-S1 camera.  I think this is a terrific
idea.  Best idea I have had for a long time!!!  Users united to 
discuss questions and issues in optimizing their very unique 
camera.  Archives are open to the public and information will 
be collected in a web site for present and future owners of this 
camera.  Why would anyone object to this fine idea?

The other list (3DSalon) if for people who participate in PSA
exhibitions.  There are only about 150 of them in the world.
Most of those who have email are not in photo-3d.  Primary purpose
of the list is to post reminders for upcoming exhibitions.

It is interesting to read Dan Shelley take a position against
multiple lists.  We have not heard his voice in photo-3d lately.
But he is posting regularly in the APEC list.  Yes, priorities,
I understand...

Now, let's talk about the APEC list that Dan is supporting.  Makes 
sense to have the APEC people share comments on other people's APEC 
entries.  But this is a very small part of the discussions there.  
This list has become a hub for print makers, to the point that some 
of them have quit photo-3d because they are fully covered by APEC.  
When was the last time you heard a question about Holmes' stereo
prints in this list??? One member asks "I have a Realist... what other
stereo cameras should I consider?"  That's a perfect photo-3d subject.
Yet it is posted in the APEC list and a discussion follows on the
virtues of Kodak, Revere, etc.  What does that have to do with APEC
or PRINTS?  Beats me!  But it is a small family and they enjoy each
other's voices.  That's fine with me.  (Hey, I managed to sneak in
there too... hope they won't kick me out for writing this!!!)

George Themelis - So damn busy reading all these lists, don't have
time to do anything else... that's for sure!!!
