Sorry bout not quoting the reference. I thought there probably would
be more books with a catchy name as, "Perception" but didn't think
anybody would care to follow up. Anyways, it's a very interesting 
book and the actual version of the seven that you found is,
Perception (Second Edition) by Robert Sekuler and Randolph Blake
Published by McGraw Hill, ISBN 0-07-056065-X
