P3D lunar hyper-stereo?

Has anyone taken a "simultaneous" [within minutes] hyper of the moon from
coast to coast? This would put your baseline [from the lower 48] at about
1/90th of the total distance, but it may still prove interesting.

Has this been done? Before? I'm aware of the old stereoview [have the Holmes
card] but I forget the details ... and the image wasn't all that detailed.

A digicam, tripod and cooperating weather on each coast and you'd be in
business. Anyone in the vicinity of Richmond, VA or "nearby" willing to shoot
the east coast picture for me? [You _do_ have a megapixel camera of
relatively recent obsolescence/purchas, of course.] I figure 10 or 11 EDT
would give me a dark sky as well as enough time to get home through our
not-yet-famous silicon valley traffic.

I couldn't find reference one through Altavista, but I don't think that this
list's archives are indexed. )-:*

thx
