P3D Anaglyph colors

I'm experimenting in creating anaglyphs (in grey scale) with Paint Shop Pro
and I'm having a problem with the colors of the resulting image: the problem
is that, through the red lens, the blue color (in both video and prints)
doesn't appear totally black, but just dark grey, so were there are blue
spots on black background I can see some particulars of both the images from
the pair. To eliminate this I have to cut the green channel from the
anaglyph, but it turns to an ugly "magenta and white".
Can it be a problem with the color of the lens? Is there a way to
"calibrate" the computer colors on the lenses colors?
Thanks to anyone who can help.
