What happens if you point a regular (but not linearly polarized, or
oriented to avoid extinction in either eye) laser pointer at
a projected stereo image, pointing it at an object in the scene that
is behind the stereo window? My guess would be that a person viewing
the stereo image on the screen would see two dots instead of one. I haven't
noticed that being explicitly stated in this discussion. Is that what
happens?
If this is the case, and if I wanted to use a laser pointer to point out
objects in the stereo view, then I can see how the ability to control the
depth would be useful.
