P3D Light Leaks

On the S1 list there was some discussion recently about light leaks.  I
thought it might be interesting to pass along something I learned some
time ago from Charlie Piper as he was searching for a light leak in an
Optron Stereo camera of mine.  After trying several ways of finding the
leak unsuccessfully, he then used what I suppose was his ultimate test.
He had arranged a small light bulb such that the wires to power it would
not interfere with the closing of the camera.  This permitted him to put
the bulb inside the camera, and then study the outside in a very dark
room, to find the leak.  An interesting technique.
