accomplish.. what he thinks might happen? I have a hard time thinking any
possible use for a device as described.<

Gee, it's very difficult for me to refrain from "flame" mode here... but are
you guys kidding? (Gee, who needs to point out stuff on a projected MONO
slide, eh?) Obviously your ideas about the uses of projected stereo are
limited indeed. Even George Themelis thought I was pulling his leg! (George,
I'm very SERIOUS about 3D you know!) To widen your stereo horizons, know
that 3D projection is often for instruction... in fact, I am working with a
neurosurgeon who would like to point out various structures within the
anatomical stereos of the brain he has stereographed... he is currently
limited to the surface of the screen.

Larry Berlin writes:
>If you're into Stereo 3D, why use a flat pointer? Why not devise a way to
point exactly *where* you want to point in a full x,y,z space? Sounds cool
to me!<

Way to go, Larry!

Bob Wier: thanks for the heads up on the archives... apparently Ed Jameson
was working on a prototype.
