Direct your frustrations to the corporations where it belongs. The problem
is unique to how MS wrote their champion bit of garbage, IE to work (or not
work) with Java. Scream (or direct your *napalm*) at MS.
Netscape with an older version of the real Java does NOT mess up your screen.

point about individual hobbyists vs. crass commercial entites who fail to

In fact you've found a MUCH faster response than you could expect from any
commercial entity.
I sympathize with the issue you brought up, it just didn't apply to this
situation.
