I've traveled fairly extensively with a home-made twin rig -- lots of wires, 
a wooden and metal bar, and an electrical switch.  I too was worried about 
security at first, and made sure the cameras were empty and available for 
inspection.  It's never gotten a second glance.  (I think the exhibitionist 
component of my personality was deeply offended.) Now, I don't bother 
emptying the cameras.  Have fun.
