I think John is perfectly wrong.
I have found this viewer a perfectly acceptable device for previewing
rolls to see which pairs are worth mounting. At first I was wary of
scratches it might cause, but it hasn't caused any.
The Dukes Projection Previewer is another device for evaluating uncut
rolls; probably a better one if you have a projector.
