I had an advancing problem when I first got my Kodak. On mine the lever under
(when the camera is upside down) the pawl had gotten sticky in its movement. If
I moved it a few times it would loosen up and work. However, after sitting for a
while it would stick again. My assumption was that some lubricant had gotten
stiff over the years.
I cleaned the area with a little alcohol. This seems to have taken care of the
problem for the most part. It still does it once in a while. I just chalk it up
to a regular maintenance job and clean it again after a few rolls.

I'm certainly no expert here. Anybody have any other suggestions?
