P3D Longevity of LCS Glasses?

I've been wondering about this for awhile and thought I would
throw this out to the experts on P3D. I've read posts on P3D
that polarized 3-D glasses tend to loose their polarization
with age. Has this problem been solved?

The reason I ask is because it's not a big deal if 3-D glasses
become ineffective (unless you have a few thousand pairs) since
they're not expensive. But what about the 3-D glasses of the 90's?
More specifically, LCS glasses which also use polarizing material.
For that matter also anything that uses LCD! Are all our fancy
electronic gizmos be useless into the new century!?! ;-)
