What you want are _slides_ copied from the uncut negative strip. Just
ask them not to cut or mount the slides. I had Dale do this once using
Kodacolor 100 film a few months ago. Results are perhaps adequate, but I
didn't think they were nearly as good I usually get with original
slides, in terms of color rendition and contrast primarily. I usually
use Fuji Sensia slide film ($3.09 per roll for 36 exposures from B&H in
NYC) and Kodak mailers ($4.29 each from B&H). The main reason to use
negative film and get the copy slides made is if you definitely want to
make _multiple copies_ of your reels. Most of the time I just take extra
exposures (since you can fit so many on a roll) if subject matter
permits. -Linda
