P3D New Imax 3-D Theatre in Montreal

Well, looks like Imax theatres are eye-poping everywhere! Here
in Montreal (home of the 3Discover), we'll soon be blessed with
three 3-D houses of worship! ;-)

There is one in the old port (first Imax to open awhile back)
and another one is situated on the South Shore (Brossard). The
newest one will be situated right smack in the middle of
downtown. They are situated minutes from each other by car.

They recently had a 3-D (polaroid version) movie playing but for
the summer are showing a regular 2-D Imax movie. 

Cinema Imax-Les Ailes (south shore, Brossard)

This theatre features the LCS type 3-D glasses.

Famous Players Paramount Imax Theatre (downtown Montreal)

I'm not sure which type of glasses they'll be using but
the add shows the polaroid type. Opening on June 18.

First movie to play will be Encounter in the Third
Dimension. This one had an engagment over the winter
at the old port.
