That's basically what I did with my Airequipt stereo Theater viewer, and it
worked okay. Biggest problem is that the achromats were *THICK*, and having
two of them made the mechanical aspects worse. Of course if you had triplets
before.... :-)
I also still had a tiny bit of rainbow effect (on the edges). Although
tremendously better than the original lenses, I hoped for perfection.
Could have just been the quality of the lenses (surplus ones rather than
going the big bucks with Edmund).
