This is why the current laws are so hard to understand. Seemingly
commonsense thoughts and ideas are thrown out the window. I am not sure if
a company can copyright a color, either. I also suspect that winning a
lawsuit over matters such as this is more a matter of how much money one
has or how many lawyers there are in the mix. I would be very surprised if
Kodak can stop one from using a particular shade of yellow. what exactly
does Mattel mean about "Barbie Pink"? They might own the words "Barbie
Pink" but I am sure that they do not have exclusive rights to Pink. But who
knows. If I was developing a doll for the Wee People, it naturally follows
that I would dress the girls in pink clothes. This is obvious to people
with common since, but I forgot, we were talking about the law.
