I have checked my source of information on early anaglphs my imediate
source is Dates and Sources (A contribution to the history of the art of
projectio and to cinematography) Franz Paul Liesegang translated and edited
by Hermann Hecht Moving and projected images : a chronology of pre-cinema
history ( Not cinema Pre-history as I wrote earlier!) published by the
magic lantern society of Britain 1986. Page 70-71 for the Rollman yellow
and blue drawings of 1853 it quotes Poggendorffs Annalen der Physik und
Chemie (1853, vol 90, p 186); M von Rohr Die binokularen Instrumente (2nd
edition , Berlin 1920, p101).
For d'Almeida's 1858 stereo projection Comptes rendus de l'academie des
sciences (Paris ,1858, vol 47, II, p 61) German translation by M. von Rohr:
Abhandlungen zur Gesichte des Stereoscopes, Oswalds Klassiker ( no 168,
Leipzig , 1908, p 103). P.J.Homer
