P3D DOF and Hyperfocal distance - part III

And here comes the good part! How to actually take pictures!

If you take general scenics and include infinity, I recommend
not placing anything closer than 7.5 feet. This will give stereos
with good depth range that can be projected in a large screen
without any problems.

Note that the hyperfocal distance for f8 is 15 feet which means
that everything from 7.5 feet to infinity will be sharp with f8
(or any aperture smaller than f8, like f11 or f16). Based on this,
I recommend the following manual settings for your stereo camera:

Shutter f-stop Light Conditions
------- ------ ------------------------------------------------
 1/100 f22 Extremely bright w/sand or snow
1/100 f16 Sunny and bright, distinct shadows
1/100 f11 Weak sun, soft shadows, side light at bright sun
 1/100 f8 Cloudy, no shadows
1/50 f8 Heavy overcast, bright shade
 1/25 f8 Dark shade

Leave the focus FIXED at 15 feet. No reason to adjust focusing if your
scene includes infinity. Everything will be sharp from 7.5 feet to
infinity.
