Excuse me, George, but are you assuming all of us use ISO 100 film?

George

PS.
Just to pick nits, do all of us shoot at noon in temperate zones? It
is often sunny just before sunset, but the f/16 rule no longer works.

Seriously, it is valuable to beginners to teach them how to survive
without point-and-shoot cameras. I'm grateful to George for being
willing to help educate the new generation.

I got my Wirgin a long time ago, before Reel3D was there with copies
of instruction sheets, so I was on my own on dof tables. I had two
cameras at the time with dof data, so I extrapolated to the Wirgin.
I found the old chart a while ago, and, indeed, I got it right.
