Last year being essentially ON July 4th knocked me out (houseguests)
plus the distance. This is better (although not great - again,
houseguests). However, since it *is* a not too desirable time, I'd
guess that it makes for relatively cheap costs as far as the 
convention facilities go (just guessing, though).
