This may sound like a ridiculous choice for twin camera recommendations
but I have field tested these cameras and I am impressed with the
results. The Dakota RZ-8 ( made exclusively for Ritz Camera) Selling
price $19.95 each.:-) The cameras are fixed focus with flash on/off
selection, instant shutter response, DX coded for 100,200,400 ISO films
( great for slides) A piece of cake to manually sync the shutters by
hand ( no fancy release required) AA batteries. There is no tripod
socket so I recommend using a piece of angled aluminum or wood with the
rubberband method.
$40.00 + $2-3.00 for a homemade bar and your in business!! No kidding! (
I used duct tape:-))    
Other specs: 4 element glass optics, light weight ( don't have exact
specs but I can provide them upon your request) Auto load, soft case,
strap and warranty. I believe fixed focus from 3ft to infinity. Quote
from the brochure. " this camera is a precision optical instrument"
