Paul Baker (in the Chicago area) has done shutter bounce repair in the
past, and you could try contacting him: pebaker@xxxxxxxxxx (Paul E
Baker) He fixed mine for me a while back.

I believe he charges $35 for this service now. He does _not_ do CLA's,
and it is exceedingly difficult to find anyone who actually will do this
or other repair work on a VM Personal. (For other stereo cameras, not
quite as difficult.) Check with Dalia Miller  dalia miller
<ddd@xxxxxxxxxxxx>  as to whether she has a repair person currently who
will do this. Anyone else have resources for VM Personal repair etc? 

I understand that the shutter bounce fix is not too difficult and many
on the list may have done it themselves. Have you checked the archives?
