I use Lerner Labs almost exclusively for my processing.  Perhaps
I've been lucky, but I've never had the kinds of problems you
describe.  They are inconsistant as to whether your uncut slides
are returned in a cardboard roll vs. a used plastic film can, but
I've always had them returned in a plastic sleeve.  I've had some
light scratches on film in the past, but not recently.  I cannot
comment on how well they do stereo mounting, but I expect to have
some info by September from the members of the Detroit Stereoscopic
Society.  In fact, one of our members had told me that Lerner was
doing all stereo processing back in June, but members of this list
called Kodak directly who continued to state it was being done in
NJ.  Oh well, I'm still grateful that Kodak is offering this service
as there are elderly members of our club that can no longer mount
their own due to arthritis or eye problems.  Thanks to all those
who reported the latest Kodak news!
