Exactly!

This is what bracketing with slide film is so important.  There is no 
absolutely perfect exposure for all purposes.  One version may look best in 
your Red Button.  Another may be better for projection, etc., etc.  I bracket 
EVERY image I shoot and I rarely go home without a useable view or two.  Many 
people rebel at this notion and the reasons are understandable.  You have a 
$3000 camera and a $500 exposure meter, you've got 30 years experience, so 
why can't you get a proper exposure the first time every time?  It's just not 
the nature of the beast.  If your equipment gets you into the proper range 
for a 3 shot bracket, then it's doing it's job great.  You can't be cheap 
with slide film and avoid disappointment.
