P3D beam splitters

I don't know much about beam splitters so if I start mixing up terminology
here please let me know. I have a Eumig Mini 5 super 8 movie camera that I
would like to shoot stereo films with. my problems are these: Who makes
beam splitters? Do they simply screw onto the end of the lens? If so, my
Eumig's built in lens has a diameter of only 38mm. Do they come
manufactured differently for different size film formats? Is Super 8
already such a small format that trying to shoot it in 3d would be useless?
Does anyone out there know of a trustworthy source for Super 8 cartridges,
preferably k-14 process, and a reliable lab? Even if I were able to shoot
the film in stereo what hoops would I have to jump through to project it?
I'm lost in this new endeavor. Any suggestions or explanations will be
greatly appreciated.

On another note. I still see people on the list referring to an ISO 100
Velvia film. There simply is no such thing. Fuji will back me on this.
