P3D RE 3D video attachments

I have a NuView that I've shot video with and successfully edited it using a
Pinnacle Miro DC10+ video editing card.  This works by capturing each field
and MJPEG encoding it in real-time. The speed of your hard disk effectively 
imposes limits on the amount of compression (or lack of it) that is required
to maintain throughput. One interesting point is that because each field has 
to be compressed to the same size, scenes with a lot of detail are 
compressed more than fields with less detail. This means that if the source
tape is "noisy" then this noise is treated as detail resulting in more
compression and hence even worse detail upon playback ... 
...bit of a loose; loose situation.

>From the research I did before buying this card I would suspect that most 
video capture cards that capture BOTH FIELDS will work. Most potential 
problem comes from the output deinterlacing (FlickerFixer), although this
is usually a switchable option..if its there... 

The video editing software that comes with the DC10+ is very simply but 
extremely easy to use.. I also have MainActor that came with my Graphics 
Card (ElsaErazorIII). This also works and is much more sophisticated but 
I haven't had a chance to sit down and learn how to use it yet...

One thing that I'm currently wondering is if its possible to (re)set the stereo
window at editing time by capturing full resolution and using the "additional"
information at the sides (most TV's dont show the whole image) to move
left and right views..
