I really hate ;-) grabbing on to this slippery rope but since when do
pictures (or whatever!) have to be hard to duplicate, to be defined as
art? I guess poetry isn't art, since it can easily by copied, unless
of course it's written by hand, in which case it would be qualified as
art. ;-)
On a similar note, regarding the equipment thread,...
This reminds me of a true story of a famous photographer, who was well
known for his amazing portrait shots (I forget who and I apologize if
I'm not getting the story straight but the point is clear) who was
commissioned to photograph a famous newspaper reporter. The
photographer took the reporter's portrait and when he saw it a few
days later, exclaimed how great it was and how easy it must have been
to take with such an expensive camera. The photographer returned the
compliment by mentioning, how easy it must be to write great stories
with that expensive typewriter!
