P3D art & photography

Art is is made for aesthetic purposes.  Design accomplishes function and
reflects aesthetics.  Engineering and technology are concerned with
function only.

Photography, like most mediums, may be used for any of the above
purposes.  Engineering photography (or for marketing) may be artfully
accomplished.  The integration of aesthetic and functional attributes 
produces products that we prefer.  Reduction of designs to purest form
emulates nature.

Photographers seek the visually interesting.  And we appreciate whatever
good working equipment we have, and seek to use it artfully.  It's great
to have a rational for going to neat places and recording our
experiences.
