P3D Pillow Talk

To elaborate on my technique for shooting fireworks with the Realist set
at F8 and bulb, I used a standard pillow/w black pillowcase to cover the
lenses between bursts. This creates several problems. First, the
obvious....you will look like an idiot as you raise and lower the pillow
in an Indian smoke signal fashion giving onlookers the impression that
you are about to throw what appears to be a portable TV off the balcony.
:-) Then I changed my technique by trying to move the pillow rapidly in
a horizontal fashion , which looked less threatening, but caused
disparities between images. The loose flappy corner of the pillow case
obstructed the right lens just long enough to ruin some great shots. All
in all my success yield was great. I got 21 images ( worthy of RBT/glass
mounting) from 28 images taken. Not bad for using a pillow.:-)
