I got one superb shot out of the 11 I took
and a few good ones. We had a little rain
just before the start of the fireworks and
during the first part of them. It appears that
I got a drop of rain on the lens of the right
camera which, in some shots, causes a blurry
blob of light to appear in some part of the
photo. The retinal rivalry this causes is
somewhat annoying.

I've only used my 8 and 10 foot bars for
fireworks. I have a 3 foot bar I use for
hyperstereos of other things. As you probably
know, you need to limit the nearest object
in the photo to about 30 times the stereo base
(if infinity is in the shot).

So if you have a 10' bar the nearest object
should be 300' away. This works for my fireworks
shots where they were about 600' away with only
the clouds behind them (and nothing in front).

I have shot some city hypers with the 3' bar
by shooting from the edge of a bridge or across
the river to control the distance to the nearest
object. Otherwise you would need a really tall
tripod :)
