P3D viewers & scanning

Thanks to everyone who responded about VM viewers. I'll check out
Target (I *know* there is at least one in Montana - I might find
one a bit closer on my trip north next week). The Model D does
seem to be a favorite, but is a bit pricey for my purposes at this
point. I think I'll pick up a Target cheapie to see what I've got
on the personal reels, and go from there.

Another question - some time ago there was a lot of discussion about
the HP PhotoSmart transparency scanner - did anyone here ever try
to scan a VM reel? I'd guess you'd have to fiddle a bit with the
film carrier, etc.
