P3D Super 3d frustration

I know that this has been discussed before, but it is really driving me
nuts, so I was hoping someone could help.

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF PROBLEMS WITH OLD CAMERAS.

I want a 7 or 8 perf stereo set up that isn't hyper. I don't care if
it is 2 cameras or a siamese rig. It needs to have atleast apature
priority and manual focus (or some sort of focus control). I would
rather not have an slr (because of the darker viewing), but it isn't a
deal breaker.

Any suggestions?

Does anyone know if the minox 35 mm cameras are hyper if you twin them?
If so, what is the actual inches of seperation between the center of
the lenses.

I have heard some horror stories about RBT cameras, and also some good
stories as well. (Maybe Dr. T can help with this question). I am
willing to pay alot of money if the camera set up is worth it, and
reliable. I am thinking about getting a FED. I have tried one, and
for the most part I was very pleased. But there were a few things that
bugged me enough to make it my second choice unless there is no first
choice to have.

PLEASE HELP ME!! I am going nuts. I invested almost 2 grand in a
proffessional lighting kit, and I am very serious about getting my
photos out there as 3-D rather than 2d, but my patience is running
increadibly thin. I have 3 galleries interested in my images, and
people are paying me to take there portraits, I can't have anymore
malfunctioning cameras.
