I'm not so sure about this. It runs counter to physics (i.e. inertia).
A heavier camera should actually be more stable than a light one, since
it takes more energy input to accelerate it (F=MA).
My RBT X2 with the Tokina zooms weighs a ton. I have no problems with
camera shake, and I prefer slower films like Velvia and Kodachrome 64
with mid-range apertures. I take many stereos where tripods are
inconvenient (e.g. crowds) or forbidden (e.g. museums).
Then again, I'm 6' 2" and ~220 lbs. If you have a slight build and/or
are lacking in arm strength, your experience may vary. Maybe a few
trips to the gym will help cure that camera shake. Some forearm curls
with an RBT in each hand, perhaps? :-)
