Not so sure about that... I have one in my basement collecting dust
right now... I have taken it apart to clean the viewfinder and in
the process I broke the viewfinder glass. It should be fairly easy
to replace this but I have been procrastinating... When it is ready
I will offer it for sale for a very reasonable price, as I have done
in the past. If you check the sell-3d archives you will see that
I have sold 3 of them in the past. The fact that I buy them and then
sell them instead of keeping them for myself is I think an indication
of my opinion for the camera. I prefer my 7p Realist.

I am glad to be the exception :-)

There are many RBT cameras... You seem to be talking about the RBT S1.
Knowing a little bit about your personal shooting style (and you
mentioning the elaborate lighting set you got) makes me think that
you will be happier with the SLR versions of RBTs. I think the X4,
which is the cheaper RBT you can get, is a better choice for you
than any '50s stereo camera. I don't think the wait is too long
for this camera. I got mine very quickly. Give it a thought!

Wasted film??? You get 18 pairs of full frame stereos in a 36 exposure
roll. You could not do better than that! With the Belplasca you get
21 pairs of 7p images.
